Dr. Ferreira is a fellowship-trained hand and upper extremity surgeon and an assistant professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the UConn Health. He completed his medical training, as well as Master's Degree in Medical Education, at Boston University, followed by orthopedic residency training at University of Connecticut. Dr. Ferreira then completed his hand and upper extremity fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center under the leadership of Dr. Mark Baratz.
Dr. Ferreira’s clinical focus is on the treatment of all hand, wrist and elbow disorders. These include fractures, arthritis, nerve compression and tendon injuries. He holds a strong interest in the arthroscopic treatment of wrist and elbow disorders.
