Brostrom Procedure

Description

Mr Donatas Chlebinskas gives his expert insights and discusses the Modified Broström procedure, highlighting its effectiveness in treating chronic lateral ankle instability. He notes that both open and arthroscopic versions of the procedure have comparable success rates exceeding 95%. Mr Chlebinskas points out that arthroscopic repair not only addresses related intraarticular issues but also allows for quicker recovery and a sooner return to physical activities. However, he warns that this method carries a heightened risk of nerve damage.
