Capturing Positive Change: The NHS Change Challenge: Introduction
Description
In this session led by Chris Moran, an orthopedic trauma surgeon and National Strategic Incident Director for COVID-19, participants will explore the NHS's response to the pandemic and how clinicians have adapted to deliver care amid unprecedented challenges. Joined by co-host Andy Bernette, the National Clinical Director for MSK, Chris emphasizes the importance of capturing beneficial changes made during the crisis, aiming to integrate these improvements into routine NHS practice.
The session highlights the use of a crowdsourcing platform to gather innovative ideas and connect healthcare communities, facilitating communication and collaboration across various specialties, particularly in musculoskeletal (MSK) care. Attendees will learn about the successes of the MSK pilot project, featuring insights from clinical champions who have implemented significant changes in care delivery.
The initial part of the presentation faced technical difficulties, illustrating the challenges of virtual meetings, but the speakers remain optimistic about progressing through their agenda. This event exemplifies how the NHS is continually evolving, using technology to foster improvement in patient care.
