Humphrey and Wrisberg
Description
Dr Laurie Hiemstra gives her expert insights and discusses the anatomical ligaments of the knee, specifically highlighting the ligaments known as Humphrey and Wrisberg. She explains that both ligaments run in a direction similar to that of the Posterior Cruciate Ligament (PCL). To aid in visualizing their positions, Dr Hiemstra describes a scenario where one looks through a scope into the knee from the front. In this view, the Humphrey ligament is observed first, followed by the Wrisberg ligament, linking their order of visibility to their alphabetical arrangement. This informative commentary serves to clarify the spatial relationship of these ligaments within the knee's anatomy.
