Dr. Genna Braverman is a rheumatologist at Hospital for Special Surgery, where she sees patients with a broad range of rheumatologic conditions including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, connective tissue diseases and sarcoidosis. She regularly collaborates with multidisciplinary specialists at Weill Cornell, and has particular clinical and research interests in cardiopulmonary manifestations of systemic rheumatic and inflammatory diseases.
After graduating from Yale College, Dr. Braverman received her MD from Stanford University School of Medicine. She completed her internal medicine residency training at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University, where she served for an additional year as chief resident. She completed rheumatology fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery, during which time she also obtained a Masters in Clinical and Translational Investigation from Weill Cornell Medical College.
Dr. Braverman is committed to the mission of working at an academic medical center. In addition to her patient care and research roles, she serves as the Associate Program Director of the rheumatology fellowship program at Hospital for Special Surgery and is passionate about supporting the development of medical trainees.
