Dr Grant Nolan

Biography

I am a medical doctor (Plastic Surgery Resident) & Founder/CEO of Jigsaw Medical. I was previously the Founder/CEO of MyOpNotes (B2B SaaS). Here I took the company from an idea to live use within the NHS (zero-to-one phase). I won >£0.5M in Innovate UK grants and the company was accepted onto multiple healthtech & tech accelerators including Baltic Ventures. I’m also an NHS Clinical Entrepreneur and a Topol Digital Fellow. I am particularly interested in how digital technology can be used to solve pressing issues like capacity and inefficiency within the NHS. I think innovation is going to become increasingly important for us to begin to tackle these challenges. I have a keen research interests, having published 27 scientific papers. Many of these were on non-melanoma skin cancer where I led a national audit on incomplete excision which was a collaborative project with over 100 authors. I have also published on fat grafting (part of my MSc) and flexor tendon injuries, particularly through systematic reviews and meta-analysis.
