- Definition of user needs by regularly interfacing with customers (orthopedic surgeons)
- Performing competitor gap analyses
- Performing research studies to evaluate prototype feasibility
- Setting up contracts with external partners to obtain data
- Definition of system and software requirements
- Development of user interface prototypes (Figma)
- Performing formative evaluations with orthopedic surgeons
- Interface with marketing, clinical, regulatory and quality assurance teams
- Documentation for 510(k) submissions
Support product development efforts with modeling & simulation research studies, which includes:
- Development of a Python-based modeling & simulation software (LifeMOD)
- Development of custom computational models to address product development queries
- Automating computational model development via Python scripts
- Performing large numbers of simulations, including statistical simulations and sensitivity analyses
- Performing data analyses to interpret results and present to stakeholders
- Performing research studies to support product claims
Participate to ASME V&V 40 activities, which includes:
- Participating to V&V 40 committee and subcommittee (patient-specific modeling) meetings
- Providing regulatory guidance to modeling and simulation efforts within Smith+Nephew
