Ben is an orthopaedic trainee on The Royal London Training Programme. He has an interest in lower limb arthroplasty and trauma. Outside of clinical work, he has an interest in research and academia, being successfully selected as the National Joint Registry Research Fellow. He is currently undertaking a PhD at Queen Mary University of London, looking at the ‘Effects of Mental Health disorders on Total Knee Replacement Outcomes’.
He has previously held regional leadership roles for his training programme. He enjoys teaching regularly and is faculty on national teaching courses. He was previously the lead organiser for an international trauma course in Sierra Leone. The trip won the ‘GASOC Global Surgery Prize 2021’ and the ‘ASIT Global Surgery Award 2020’. He is the 2024 winner of the regional best of the best competition.
