Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon, specialising in Foot and Ankle Surgery.
I am extremely passionate about Foot and Ankle and Trauma surgery and have trained proficiently in all the skills required to excel in my role as a Consultant surgeon in this field. Having completed a Post CCT fellowship in Foot and Ankle Surgery with the renowned Melbourne Orthopaedic Group I am able to treat a multitude of degenerative, congenital, traumatic and sports-related lower limb conditions. I continually drive to learn new skills and develop new techniques in foot and ankle surgery to ensure my methods are cutting edge, providing my patients with the best treatment, bespoke to their individual needs. I enjoy treating all foot and ankle conditions from elite athletes, simple sprains or bunions, deformity of the foot and ankle, to arthritis and diabetic feet.
Working at the Regional Trauma Centre in a hospital rated as “outstanding” by the CQC demands me to be adaptable and dynamic to the requirements at that time to provide the highest standard of care.
I have a keen role in education, lecturing on multiple local, national and international courses. I am an examiner for Manchester University Medial School and an Editor for the British Orthopaedic Association's national orthopaedic exam (UKITE).
My dedication to research has led me to perform an honorary research fellowship spending time researching biomaterials and running a cell-based laboratory study with Liverpool and Nottingham Trent Universities. I have been fortunate enough to present prize-winning work internationally and publish in multiple orthopaedic-themed peer-reviewed journals. I have been involved in regular audit since graduating as a doctor and I am currently “audit lead” for the Orthopaedic department of Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust.
