I am a consultant orthopaedic surgeon with a specialist interest in foot and ankle pathology.
Having completed my higher surgical training within the East of England deanery, I subsequently undertook two United Kingdom accredited fellowships. My specialist interests include assessing and surgically operating on patients with foot and ankle deformities, arthritis, sports injuries including Achilles tendon ruptures, reconstruction of the diabetic foot and foot and ankle trauma. I specialise in both arthroscopic, minimally invasive and open techniques and I am proficient in managing general trauma.
In addition to the above I was awarded a British Foot and Ankle travelling fellowship during which I went to Lyon to work in a high volume elective centre.
I am currently the clinical governance lead within the orthopaedic department, a role where I have the opportunity to work closely with patients to enhance their care.
I enjoy teaching and I continue to maintain an active interest in this area as an assessor on viva courses for registrars preparing for their exit exams.
