Oliver Adebayo is a Trauma and Orthopaedic surgery Specialist Registrar in the North East London deanery. Oliver graduated from Kings College London in 2013. Clinically he has an interest in both limb reconstruction and sports injuries. Oliver has been passionate about quality improvement and digital transformation throughout his medical career working with companies like Apple and Interneuron on digital platforms.
In 2021, Oliver became the President of the British Orthopaedic Trainees Association (BOTA), the largest single specialty trainee organisation with over 1500 members. As President, he worked closely with RCS England, RCSEd, Health Education England as well as other national bodies to ensure that T&O trainees throughout the UK were fully represented, contributing to a number of national initiatives and papers as well as organising the largest single specialty trainee conference ever in 2022.
Oliver is passionate about clinical leadership within the NHS and believes that this is essential to creating a culture within healthcare that embraces innovation and resourcefulness whilst maintaining a focus on the delivery of safe, efficient and compassionate patient care. Oliver has a keen interest in digital transformation and during his MSc in Surgical Innovation learned
about the innovation methodology and how digital solutions impact on education
, quality improvement and surgical technology. Having also been a part of the Clinical User Experience (UX) Design Academy programme, he is keen to help translate his knowledge learned into practice, hoping to develop more patient focussed designed initiatives.
