Biography

* Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon at Leeds Teaching Hospitals and Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Leeds since 2002 * Current editor of 5th edition of Foy and Fagg's Medicolegal Reporting in Orthopaedic Trauma, due to be published by Elsevier in 2026 * Immediate Past President of the British Limb Reconstruction Society * Past Chair of the British Orthopaedic Association Medicolegal Committee (2021-24) Expertise - severe lower limb fractures and post-traumatic limb reconstruction, including non-union, malunion & deformity, limb length inequality, bone loss and amputation. Extensive training in the Ilizarov method at the Russian Ilizarov Scientific Centre for Restorative Traumatology & Orthopaedics in Kurgan, Siberia, and 14 months of training in complex trauma & limb reconstruction at Bristol Royal Infirmary. Faculty member of the UK Deformity Course provided by members of the British Limb Reconstruction Society. Convenor and faculty member of national Basic Ilizarov Method and Advanced Ilizarov Method courses and a national Basic External Fixation course. Advanced Trauma Life Support instructor.
