Marie is a qualified Play Therapist and Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist. She is a member of the Irish Association for Play Therapy and Psychotherapy (IAPTP) Marie’s background is as a social worker and social work Team leader in Tusla, working with children, their families and multi professionals. Marie is also registered with CORU. (Regulating Health and Social Care Professionals)
As a Psychotherapist with a specialisation in Play Therapy, Marie is uniquely positioned and qualified to provide play therapy and psychotherapy services to children who are struggling with complex emotional distress and attempting to resolve painful and distressing experiences. This specialised practice helps to facilitate personal growth, alleviate stress and overcome emotional and behavioural problems, and to allow each child to maximise their full potential. Marie’s work centres on working with the child directly and is therapeutic and relationship based. She also very much values the role of parents and the importance of supporting them throughout the process.
