Maneesh Bhatia is a Consultant Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Surgeon working at the University Hospitals of Leicester, Nuffield Health Leicester, and the Spire Leicester Hospital. Maneesh enjoys teaching and is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Leicester and is passionate about foot and ankle research and education. He is the founder and director of British European Foot Ankle Academy (BEOFAA) that aims at educating young orthopaedic surgeons globally. He plays a very active role as a committee member of the Scientific Committee of the European Foot and Ankle Society (EFAS) and the Education Committee of the British Foot Ankle Society (BOFAS) and has written three books in the fields of foot and ankle surgery, joint injections and Orthopaedic education for Primary care that have been translated in international languages. One of these books won the prestigious BMA best book award in 2021.
