The final speaker of the conference is Professor Carsten Perka, who is the Surgeon In-Chief at The Center for Musculoskeletal Surgery in Berlin. His findings also highlight a concerning trend regarding mortality rates, particularly for patients undergoing one-stage revisions, raising questions about the long-term success of these surgeries. He concludes that more extensive data collection and careful consideration of the factors surrounding individual patient cases are needed to optimize surgical outcomes, ultimately advocating for a tailored approach to treatment based on comprehensive data analysis.
