Mr Ian W. Kennedy is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hip and knee replacement, including complex revision surgery. He practices at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow.
Mr Kennedy graduated with first-class honours in Biomedical Science and a final year distinction in Medicine, and completed an MD researching stem-cell engineering. An Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Glasgow, he has published extensively and serves as Specialty Editor of the Bone & Joint Journal.
Mr Kennedy has undertaken advanced Fellowship training in Vancouver and the Endo-Klinik, Hamburg. He is Educational Chair of the Bone and Joint Infection Society and has received awards from the British Orthopaedic Association, the British Hip Society, The Charnley Trust and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He is a member of the British Hip Society and European Hip Society.
