I am a knee surgeon with over 30 years clinical experience, and over 15,000 successful surgeries, who has trained and worked in the UK, USA, Germany & Hong Kong.
I have helped pioneer new techniques and research in total knee replacement culminating in a book, a dozen chapters in textbooks, nearly 100 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals, with over 3500 citations. I also work in collaboration with IIT Nanotechnology Lab Mumbai and have 4 patents under review and 2 patents granted.
I have collaborated with an international team of engineers and surgeons in designing the Attune Knee system with DePuy Synthes, partial knee system with Zimmer Biomet, and have assisted Brainlab and Smith & Nephew to develop DASH wherein an iPod was used for the first time in the world to perform computer-assisted knee replacement.
I am a Founder Member of the Indian Society of Hip and Knee Surgeons, Founder Member of the International Knee Society, Past President of the Asia Pacific Arthroplasty Society, Past President of the Indian Society of Hip and Knee Surgeons, and Executive Member of the Indian Joint Registry as well as on the Editorial Board of KSSTA, Knee Surgery and Related Research, reviewer for BJJ, The Knee, KSSR, and a Faculty speaker at the Current Concepts in Joint Replacement (USA), ICJR, AAOS, ISTA, APAS, APKS, CAOS, IOA.
