Qualification and Experience
Dr. Manuel Ribas is an experienced orthopaedic surgeon, sports medicine specialist, and knee replacement surgeon. He has over 40 years of experience in his field and is currently working at the Dexeus University Hospital, Barcelona, Spain. He is known for introducing femoroacetabular impingement surgery in Spain and developed his mini-invasive technique, which is now one of the most accepted techniques in Europe and America, and which is known by its first name. He also has previously worked at the Mayo Clinic in America.
Contribution to Medical Science
Dr. Manuel Ribas has been a part of 300 scientific papers around the world and more than 200 medical publications. He is also a part of more than 23 scientific societies in Spain. Among his patients are known elite athletes both Spanish and the rest of Europe. Currently, he is the Director of the Bone Bank and Bone Transplant Unit of the Dexeus University Institute, where more than 1500 interventions have been carried out in this field.
